I make it one of my lifelong missions to participate in charitable causes. I know that the assistance I can give to others in physical, mental or emotional need can make a difference in their lives. I stand committed to be that difference.
I believe in my role as a servant of my fellow human beings. Being able to ease the burdens of others, even for a while, makes me feel fulfilled.
When I see the emptiness in the eyes of children who are without parents or family, I am reminded of how blessed I am to have a family.
I think of how I should live well with my loved ones because my life would be empty without them.
As I take food to the homeless shelter, I remember how many times in the past I have grumbled about a meal that was put before me. Feeding the hungry allows me to be thankful for the healthy meals I enjoy each evening.
Today, one of my greatest priorities is my commitment to those less fortunate.
I am happy to bring whatever joy I can to those who really need some extra happiness in their lives. I am humbled by the experience because reaching out to the needy always reminds me to truly give thanks for what I have.
