When I am considerate towards others, I am helping to fulfill their needs. I strive to do my best in this regard, just as I hope others would do the same for me.

Being considerate towards others makes the world a better place.

One aspect of being considerate is acknowledging a person’s presence. A simple greeting, like, “Hi, how are you,” or even eye contact and a smile, respectfully shows that I am aware someone has approached.

Another aspect of being considerate of others is thinking of them even when they are not present.

It is my responsibility to remember that the feelings of those around me are as important as my own. When I think of others, I reflect on things I can do to support them and increase their happiness. Then, I follow through on my ideas.

Being considerate of others also includes showing courtesy and manners towards them. I am always careful to let them speak without interruption and thank them when they give me a compliment or do something nice for me. Then we both feel uplifted!

Today, I vow to take the time and make the effort to be considerate of others. I wish to be seen as one who is kind and caring. I also believe that when I am considerate of others, I am rewarded with positive karma that comes back to me.
