I choose joy, even during times of hardship. In every moment, I have all that I need to feel peaceful.
I distinguish between joy and pleasure. Joy is readily available, regardless of whether my wishes are being fulfilled. I can be uncomfortable and blissful at the same time. I experience love and joy, even when I have the flu.
I view challenges as opportunities. Developing my abilities makes my life more rewarding. Overcoming obstacles teaches me that I am resilient.
I recognize my worth and know that I deserve to feel joyful. I take care of myself. I have learned what makes me happy. And I surround myself with positive thoughts and people who encourage me.
I work at being flexible. Change is part of life, so I prepare myself to adapt to new conditions. I listen to others who express views different than my own. I welcome new experiences with an open mind and see their potential to add joy to my life.
Laughter instantly refreshes my sense of joy. I lighten up and feel more energized.
Most of all, I strive to be generous. It is easier to feel joyful when I concentrate on helping others, rather than worrying about myself. I give my time and money to support worthy causes in my community.
Today, I resolve to be joyful. I know that I am accountable for my own bliss.
