I invest my time and money in the things that matter most to me

I believe the most telling behaviors of any human being are how they spend their money and time. I choose to put my money where my mouth is, and I do the same with my time.

I give of myself by giving my time to others. My time and presence are the most valuable gifts I could ever offer to anyone. I choose to spend my time wisely on the things I enjoy most.

By eliminating wasteful habits, I am free from the guilt of not having enough time for the things I love.

I stand up for myself by taking back the hours of my day so I can invest them in things of true value.

I keep a watchful eye on the clock to prevent myself from gifting my time to the television or to aimlessly browsing the web. Instead, I designate a small amount of time to those activities so that I can spend more of my hours interacting with my loved ones.

Instead of playing a mindless game on an electronic device, I prefer to call a family member whom I treasure. I opt to spend my time reading a book on self-improvement rather than an article about celebrity gossip.

Through self-reflection, I identify the things I care most about. Then, I formulate a plan to value those things with my actions and money.

Today, I reflect on what my schedule shows about my values and make adjustments to my spending and agenda so they accurately reflect who I am.

Self-Reflection Questions

  1. How do I feel about the way I currently spend my time?
  2. How can I make room in my schedule to nurture my relationships?
  3. What does my bank account say about my values?
