One of my greatest joys is the love I have for my children. Being a parent brings me indescribable pleasure. The highest calling I have as an individual is to raise children who make the world a better place, just by being in it.
My goal in everything I do is to be someone my children can imitate. As they seek their purpose in life, my children can follow my example as I live in accordance with my values.
Every interaction I have with my children is positive for the whole family.
My approach to discipline is well thought out. I read books to help me improve my parenting skills and to learn new techniques for building up my children through positive instruction. When I speak to my children, the words roll off my lips like sweet kisses and soothe their hearts.
Discipline is about more than punishment and rebuking; it is about teaching. I teach my children appropriate behavior at all times, not only when they make a mistake.
I point out when my children do something well and constantly praise my children for good behavior. When my children misbehave, I refrain from speaking negatively about them or to them.
Instead, I simply help them think of a better way they could have handled the situation. I make space for my children to practice a better response so they can learn what to do the next time.
Today, I choose to give my children opportunities to practice good behavior. I fill my mouth with praise so their hearts will be filled with positivity.
